Samsung Omnia W – Windows Mango Phone
India’s first smart phone based on Windows 7.5 platform Samsung Omnia W powered by Mango was launched in New Delhi by Ranjit Yadav, Country Head (Mobile & IT) at Samsung India. After the Android looks like Samsung is strengthening its foot in the mobile phone market by introducing a phone in the Windows platform. With yet another addition to its smart phone category.
The phone looks good it is sleek and got a metallic finish to add to its beauty. If you go by the specifications it has a 3.7 inch Super AMOLED capacitive display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels and it features Multi-touch input method, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Gyro sensor. The phone runs on a 1.4GHz processor and has a 5MP camera with a resolution of 2560×1920 pixels.
Coming to the latest version of the Windows- Mango, Microsoft states that software is developed to provide user friendly and socially connected smart phone experience. It also possesses a new browser based on the internet explorer and has created a strong integration for Twitter, Facebook and Bing. So it surely will keep you busy on the web socially.
The phone is priced at Rs.19,550 looks good and not too pricey going by the specifications. In all, the phone looks great with a combination of both looks and technology. It will be a totally new experience for the Smartphone maniacs. The phone is expected to be launched in the first week of November. So as of now all you can do is keep your fingers crossed and expect the phone’s arrival in the market so that you can jump and own it.
