Mangoes are also rich in Vitamin B, E and Vitamin K. There are about 75 calories in a 100 gram mango. Starch is also present in a raw mango which is later on converted into sugar as the mango ripens. These sugars when consumed with milk in the form of mango shake are great for those who are looking forward to gain some weight and for wholesome look.

Mango is an excellent source of potassium and copper and it also contains outline manganese, magnesium, calcium, iron, selenium and phosphorus. It has no saturated fats and cholesterol. They have only 0.6 gm of total fat in it.

The mango is original to India and it has been cultivated here for more than 4000 years. In vedas, mango is considered as a blissful fruit which provides many health benefits. Unripe hard mango is best for this purpose before it turns into yellow red color and becomes sweet. They should not be eaten alone as according to the Vedas it can worsen the Doshas especially Pitta Dosha.
